Well, everyone, I guess I can break the news! It is official-Mike and I are going back to California. He has been offered a job with Ernst & Young, an accounting firm that has an office in San Jose. They also have an office in Salt Lake, just putting that out there to put my mother's mind at ease. We are actually really excited for the change. Now I have been a little bit hesitant about putting this on here because he doesn't actually start work until September 2009. He has another tiny little obligation to fulfill before he can officially join the working world of public accountants, so we do have a year to get used to the whole idea.
This is the San Jose office. I wish you could see the surrounding area, though. There is a park across the street and the Museum of Technology (plus many more, spread all throughout the city) across another street, and then a cute little shopping district with restaurants and things just past the park.
I just want you all to know how proud I am of Mike. He has worked so hard to get to where he is. Also, he has wanted to move back to California (he lived there until he was 12), ever since we got married, but I was always way anti. I thought I would stay in Utah my whole life, and I was ok with that. I have finally gotten used to the idea, and am actually very excited (sorry, mom). This is a great reward for all the hard work Mike has done for the last 4 years. Love you, babe, and I am so proud of you!

Oh How fun for you guys!! I have always wanted to live there too.
Just tell you mom that at least you are in a place that you can drive back in one day or you can fly for pretty cheap....it could be worse you could live two days drive away and a 400-500$ plane ticket away like me!!! I envy you for that.
Congrats! That is exciting for you both, and yes I am sure that your family will miss you like crazy, but what an awesome opportunity for you both!
Glad to have you in Cali! Next time you take a little trip, come on down to La Jolla and visit! Caught any good baseball games lately? Apparently I am now a Padres fan. (Wish they could win one!)
yes! Okay I know San Jose and Bakersfield are not that close together, but we can go to the aquarium together when you move here ;)
Congrats! Too bad you and I wont be close for those long public accounting hours...but we do have our blogs.
How exciting! Tell Mike congrats. At least your family can visit, California's always fun to visit. We'll have to get together before you leave. Now Lindsay will really need to start her own blog!
How fun!! That will be such an awesome experience for you guys-so excited for you!
Congratulations Mike! we are excited for you too, just want to make this next year move in slow motion, if possible.
I'm so excited for you guys. Living away from family can be hard, but it is also awesome. At least you'll be close enough to visit often. It was so great to see you. I miss you tons!s
